Privacy Policy

In short

Settle is an early-stage party/social game in development. This policy describes what data the Settle landing site (playsettle.app) collects right now and how it’s handled. It will be updated before the Settle app enters public beta or appears in app stores.

If you only joined the waitlist, the data we hold about you is your email, the use-context you picked, and a timestamp. We never sell it.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist on playsettle.app:

• Your email address.
• The "where would you use Settle" context you select (e.g. Friends, Couple, Group chat, Bar, House party, Roommates).
• A timestamp of when you submitted the form.
• A "source" tag identifying the form (currently "landing").
• Standard technical request logs (IP address, user agent, referrer) created by our hosting provider.

We do not collect payment data on this site. We do notcollect Settle app account or dispute data on this site — those flows live in the Settle app and are out of scope for this page.

Why we collect it

• To contact you when Settle launches.
• To send occasional product updates and beta or test invitations.
• To validate which use cases (e.g. group chats, parties, roommates) people care about so we can prioritise them.

Legal basis

We process the data above on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the agreement box and submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Your rights below).

Who processes the data

We use third-party providers to run this site:

• Vercel— web hosting. The landing pages and the /api/waitlist endpoint run on Vercel.
• Supabase— database storage. Your email, selected context, timestamp, and source tag are stored in a Supabase table.

We may add or change providers as the product grows. This policy will be updated when that happens.

Data retention

We keep waitlist data until Settle launches and we send our launch invite — or until you ask us to delete it. After launch, the same record may be migrated into your Settle app account if you choose to register; otherwise it is removed within a reasonable period.

Your rights

You can request:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion of your data.
• Withdrawal of your consent at any time.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

Age

Settle is intended for users aged 18 and over. By joining the waitlist you confirm you are 18 or older.
